Steve (スティーブ Sutību?) is a background character introduced in Shinyaku Toaru Majutsu no Index Volume 3. He is a 10 year old boy, and is part of Weck Lunasand's children's surfing class in Kauai.[1]

Hawaii Invasion Arc

After the invasion of Hawaii by Trident, Steve becomes separated when Weck evacuates the children to an abandoned building in Chinatown. Steve is later surrounded by Trident after they take over Blue Energy Gas Station. Weck returns to the beach to find Steve surrounded by Trident and crying. Weck receives a moral dilemma, where he is forced to consider abandoning Steve or saving himself, however he could not accept it. Weck tried to form a solution to retrieve Steve but before he could make a move a Trident soldier had his weapon upon Weck's head. At that instant, Accelerator saves him, and later arguing with Misaka Mikoto. He is later given relief by Misaka Worst, telling him that their arguing means that everything is going to be alright. At that point the Trident forces were annihilated before their very eyes.[1]
