I think it's time this wiki have a proper way for articles to be featured on the main page, such as the duration an a featured article is upon the main page (1 day or 1 week?), the standards on how an article can be considered a featured article, and nominating an article as a featured article. Of course we need some indication that an article is a featured one, such as star, maybe? I want this to pave the way for a better looking front page. Any comments?---TheGreatEye 04:27, February 15, 2012 (UTC)

A simple template for a featured article tag will do. However, for the rest of what to do when featuring an article, that's not an easy task. First of all, there should be a nomination stage and an evaluation stage, probably lasting a few days. The main problem with the nomination stage is that we still have too few registered users, and it might turn out with just a handful of known users that will participate.
Because of this, the featuring of articles might become a bimonthly or monthly activity instead of a weekly one, not that it's a bad idea, though. heraldofmeridian♣ 09:00, February 15, 2012 (UTC)
We can do it like this, have an article we like to have as a featured article for a month, then we would have people vote to either support, decline, or be neutral regarding the subject, the voting period lasts for a certain amount of time and the result would determine whether or not an article can be considered a featured article. Of course, the problem is the lack of editors and contributors, which leads me to my second suggestion.
And of its implementation, well I have been scouring wikipedia recently, so I may just be able to implement it... if my hunch is correct.---TheGreatEye 14:25, February 15, 2012 (UTC)
I don't think turning our wiki further into a social network would work. We just need more people that are interested to contribute to the wiki, but that is easier said than done. The light novels is still niche compared to Bleach. Probably this amount of contributors is enough for the meantime, and we can push through the votation procedure even though there might be too few people who will participate. heraldofmeridian♣ 03:55, February 16, 2012 (UTC)
A new anime season, or the release of the dubbed anime may give this wiki a breath of fresh air, though the only thing we can do for now is soldier on, and advertise our intents in the main page (may need a bit of cleaning up as so it would not be overshadowed by all the other things on there).
Now, what kind of symbol should we use for the featured articles... Pentagram? Atom? Gekota?---TheGreatEye 06:46, February 16, 2012 (UTC)

Resetting indents. The upright pentagram, the same one used in New Testament would be good. I'll handle the aesthetics. heraldofmeridian♣ 07:59, February 16, 2012 (UTC)

I think I can scrounge something up. Okay.---TheGreatEye 08:32, February 16, 2012 (UTC)
Edit: I have uploaded the pictures here, the thumbnails look awful there, but if one opens the images, they would look much better. I included the pentagram I have done previously, it's from the Index BDs.---TheGreatEye 09:36, February 16, 2012 (UTC)
Feature penta
How about this?
This is my plan for the featured article tag.

It's quite simple, and looks like the Unreferenced tag. We should also make a Stub article tag like this too. heraldofmeridian♣ 12:54, February 16, 2012 (UTC)

Well, it rather looks obnoxious since I planned the Unreferenced template to be so obnoxious that a contributor would be forced to add references. With a little tweaking, like making it smaller and less cumbersome, it would be appropriate for use in a Featured stub template for stubs.---TheGreatEye 13:33, February 16, 2012 (UTC)
Let us just make this quick, for the sake of necessity, for the moment, let us both, as well as any and at all admin or sysops that are hither, should list what they think are articles that need and should be featured on this wiki, until that day comes, and I hope it does, that this wiki's population will become numerous enough for us to be able to make decisions non-arbitrarily.---TheGreatEye 11:10, February 18, 2012 (UTC)
