Events are significant occurences in the Toaru Majutsu no Index universe. Story arcs in the universe maybe based on events but not always, the main difference of an event from a story arc is that events are significant to people other than the characters and the people who are involved with the arc, for example the Level Upper Arc is an event as it occurs in a widespread scale and affects many people other than the main characters.
