We all know the Toaru series has a huge number of characters, many of whom are capable of handling themselves in a fight. The Index PSP fighting game released in 2011 only had around 16 selectable characters (14 playable, 2 support) - hardly any of them. With the huge cast of the Toaru series and limited space available, it is understandable that many characters would be left out - but if another such game was being constructed with greater capacity, which ones should be included?
This is my question:
Supposing another game of the same type as the Index PSP game was being constructed, this time with room for 50 selectable characters, some fighters and some support, and it covered all of the story so far - including the essential characters, who …Read more >
Index III - something which many Toaru fans are waiting for and have been doing so for a long time. Many also think about stuff beyond that, seeing as there are too many volumes to be animated within a mere 24 or so episodes.
One thing that quite a few people have likely thought about, when considering what a future Index anime series may be like, is which volumes would be used in which series and how they would be spread out in that series. The selection for a single series is limited depending on what can be covered in the episodes available, as well as the content of the volumes themselves. If done wrongly, the result will be that things get rushed or drag on for too long, and stuff important to the story will be left out.
This is my questi…Read more >
This is completely my personal opinion. I would like to hear yours. Please leave your comments and tell me whether you agree with me or not.
Since I am not a keen manga reader/anime viewer, I can barely judge whether an anime is of good quality, especially on grounds of drawing. However, I really like the anime adaptations of the series, both Index and Railgun. Therefore, I watch the series over and over again. And everytime I do it, while I am overwhelmed by epic fights, deeply touched by heartwarming friendship, there goes this unbearable irritation.
This thing has been bugging me so much that I think I should have a blog dedicated to it instead of just a comment.
That is the POINT OF VIEW (POV). The direction in which you get to see the mov…

After doing some research I had decided on taking the railgun and index animes and editing them together to make them into the singular format of a series of feature length movies. I think I have rough idea how they fit together on a scene-by-scene basis and I am going to start making a list on where to put what. This project will probably be a very long one for several reasons:
NT9 was... wow.Read more >
Ok guys, let me share what I was thinking.
After ready the NT4 volume, I felt that this volume could be turn into a movie, because it would be very sad if a volume who is a mark for the story would be just part of another season. So I start to question if the story be told by seasons would be that great. I like the two seasons so far but I don't think this would be the best for the story. Besides the fact that the season 3 might end in the end of volume 19. The season 4 would be a Mix of 3ww and start of new testament (and the climax of the first series would be cut off).
So the was what I think, making the rest of the story as isolates Arcs could be much more detailed and elaborated.
So, what do you guys think?Read more >
One of the things that I sometimes wonder about is who would voice certain currently-unvoiced characters, if and when the time comes for them to be voiced.
For some characters, someone in particular may spring to mind fairly quickly, for others several, some are less certain, and there are often a few possibilities that might be overlooked. I seen a few discussions on the matter in certain places, with some interesting suggestions. I thought it might be interesting to ask everyone here what thoughts they have on the matter, so if it's alright, I'll ask:
Who do you reckon should voice certain unvoiced characters in the Toaru series?
Below are some lists of characters which haven't been voiced as of December 2013 and when they were introduced (…Read more >

Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! is an annual light novel guidebook where various light novel series from different publishers and imprints are ranked according to popularity in different aspects, from individual series to characters by gender. I had previous blogged about the 2011 leg of this popularity ranking when Toaru Majutsu no Index received the #1 spot in the series category, with eight of the characters from the light novel series (four males and four females) reaching the Top 30 and the illustrator Haimura Kiyotaka receiving the top spot for the illustrator category.
And... let's just say that some rankings have changed over time, it didn't succeed in toppling down the supremacy of the Toaru Majutsu no Index light novel series in the Kono L…Read more >
Hello everyone! The Toaru Majutsu no Index Wiki is going as smoothly as ever, with content and readership steadily flowing through its 1,700+ pages. However, we are once more going to encounter big changes to the wiki, with the release of the fluid layout, replacing the one we have for some time now and integrating itself into the default Wikia skin, on December 4 as part of Project Darwin.
This is not the first time we had encountered reworks on the look and feel of wikis under Wikia. Remember that we started as a wiki that adopted the Oasis Skin for some time until Wikia changed up a lot of things and introduced the Wikia Skin as a default skin for all wikis in Wikia. (Let's just say that it was quite the transition period.) And with the Fluid…Read more >
I haven't made a blog post in a while, but I wanted to take the best opportunity, while the iron is still warm.
We all know that is it almost inevitable that Toaru Kagaku no Accelerator, like it's brethren spin-of series, is going to have a main antagonist/at very least one of Aleister's lackeys.
Now for a brief rogue gallery (well, so far one became good):
Well, I've ranked them by their relevance in the Raildex unified storyline, by their relevance, by my opinion (of course, Aleister always prefers remaining in the sidelines, rarely taking action himself).
Aleister: Anyone who reads just even the info in this wiki, knows why he currently ranks 1st.
Fiamma: Seriously, second best chess master in the series so far, as well for time b…

I turned the comments back on after deeming that the "regular" users of the comments section have cooled down a bit or have become discouraged of it's loss and disappearance. Of course, I was required to delete a few of these comments and block some people. And this is not an easy task to accomplish, for the comments are many and it's hard to judge which one is a problem and needs to be deleted, and with regards to users, it is quite difficult tracking sockpuppets, unless someone is fool enough to post a comment that has information that he/she or should not have known unless he/she is another user.

Hello everyone! It's...me. Long time no seen. I were having a slight hiatus for a while, but I.Am.Back.
At that time, I though again and again whenever I had the chance or had nothing else left to do at the moment about the mysterious Awakened state Mikoto is currently undergoing in the Railgun manga. I personally think that there are 2 (at the very least) possible explanations for this phenomena:
1. This Awakening is forced, so it went to this as it is, a Devil shape. Then again in the Three Abrahamic religions we see that Satan (Iblis in Islam) was once God's most devoted servant at the time (before the human kind's creation, but then...). 2. Tree Diagram meant that only the Main Plan and the Spare Plan could possibly Awaken as Angels, due …Read more >

Okay there has been lots of talk of them making a third season of the anime but, I think it would be one of those situations where it's easier said then done. Mainly we all want to see the World War III arc but, really that arc by it's self would take up at lest half a season bye it's self not to mention everything in between now and then. If dosen't start with off with the 'Document of Constantine Arc we will have standalone episode with Anglican Church–Russian Orthodox Church Prewar Conference like we had with the final of the three stories in Season II. The Document of Constantine Arc will take about 4 episodes long while the Battle Royal arc will probably be at lest 5 in length. Acqua of the Back arc would bring the count to at lest half a co…Read more >
As You Know, Aleister Crowley , the founder of Academy City, is based off a real person. What you might not know is that not just Crowley himself, but the Liber Al Vel Legis (Book of the Law), the angelic being Aiwass who dictated it, and the concepts of the Aeon of Osiris and Aeon of Horus all originate from the religion, Thelema, a real-world religious philosophy founded by the real-life Aleister. This goes far beyond being a mere Genius Bonus within the Index series and actually resides at the root of the themes that drive the series as a whole. Keep in mind my understanding of real-life Thelema is limited to a perusal of the relevant Wikipedia pages and most of my conjectures come from interpretations of the text of the novel series it…Read more >
Academy City isn't a city of science and technology, it's a gilded cage for the army of level fives they're attempting to produce in order to make the world their plaything, led by a regime so cruel as to make the Warhammer 40000 universe look like the home of Amnesty International. Logic on this is supported by several things:
- The cover-up of the Parameter List and the implication that they knew Misaka Mikoto would be a level 5.
- The willingness to lock up Takitsubo Rikou due to her "academy individual" potential, as well as the fact that they entered World War III specifically to unlock it, all so that they could create an army of level 5's and cull what the helmeted board director called "unnecessary abilities" (i.e, anything not related to…
Hi there. It's me (yet again).
I've had a hunch for a while now about Number Six and the popular theory about Aogami Pierce, and I simply must put it in words so that others consider this.
OK, most fans think Number Six=Aogami Pierce (would explain why Aogami is the only recurring classmate of Touma that isn't involved in the Magic versus Science confrontation (not even Daihasei Festival), just as Number Six is yet to be shown). But, have you ever considered that a Kihara might be #6? Railgun shows that just about any Kihara can be an Esper, yet still be a psychopath and consider Espers 'lab animals'. Also Amata, Gensei's son and You-Know-Who's teacher, supposedly has a son involved in the Dark Sid…Read more >
After much searching, I finally found a way to create random lists. Apparently, it has been under my nose the whole time.
Anyway, I am looking for factual trivia of the Toaru Majutsu no Index universe that can be easily written down in a short sentence and can easily be verified by those who read it. This is for a remarkably small project to be put on the main page, the Did you know' section, which one can easily see in the main page of Wikipedia.
For example Did you know...
- ...that Touma's is an Aquarius?
- ...that Stiyl is actually blond?
- ...that following the anime timeline, Mikoto caused 2 power outages in Academy City during the summer?
- ...that Acqua of the Back's escutcheon defy the rules of heraldry?
- ...that Fremea made a cameo in the finale of Toa…

A chestnut-brown-haired teenager silently wove through the labyrinthine complex of streets in Sector 13 of Destine Fortress. She gritted her teeth and furrowed her brow, etching an intense expression onto her otherwise radiant complexion as she hurried towards Genesis Tower. The girl chided herself: "At this rate, I'll be too late to stop--" she suddenly bolted to her right and knocked her head against a tall, dull streetlight as a bolt of electricity zoomed through the space where her head had been moments before.
A large gaunt man, wearing a midnight tuxedo and a pair of pure white gloves, slowly approached the dazed girl who was massaging her head with her pale right hand. The man spoke: "Why …

Puede ser una tontería que yo escriba esto hoy, pero creo que llegue a un conclusión. My dear wikia editors, many are you but few do you appear. Spring is come, and yet the remnants of many years' Fall is unfinished. Toaru Kagaku no Railgun S will come soon, and I am concerned that half of the first season has yet to be finished. Once, a long time ago, in personally difficult circumstances, I tried to finish it before an episode debuted in the Philippines during its first run. However, many things preoccupied me, specifically the unfinished collation of terms, events, characters, and information from the novels (as one can see, the recent influx of new things has held me back greatly. Kamachi is truly a beast that I can never hope to emulate), have made me unable to finish it entirely, leaving only up to 12 episodes complete…Read more >

Good day, fellow contributors of the Toaru Majutsu no Index Wiki! This is herald_of_meridian, and in behalf of my fellow admin TheGreatEye, we're making an important announcement.
TheGreatEye has announced that his contributions may no longer be as much as before due to real-life concerns, and as such, we see this as an appropriate time to give an avid contributor to the wiki the chance to become an admin themselves. During the entire history of the Toaru Majutsu no Index Wiki, the wiki only has only five admins, and only two are active, and I admit that two admins may not be enough for a steadily-growing wiki like the Toaru Majutsu no Index Wiki.

In my previous blog post, I've talked about the plans of Wikia to switch to an entirely different skin for all of the wikis under Wikia. It consists of transforming the interface into a "modernistic" look and completely replacing the default skin to the planned "new skin". I have tried the beta for one day and quickly reverted to Monaco because I for one do not like many of the changes.
The problem right now is that there are currently no options available for Wikia users. As some of the admins voiced out, this new skin is going to replace Monaco--permanently--and Monaco will be scrapped. Because of this, there have been numerous complaints about the sudden decision by Wikia to change things, and many Wikis would even have to face a sudden dr…Read more >
I just received the latest blog by Sannse regarding the upgrade that Wikia is to undergo within the next few weeks. This includes an overhaul with regards to the interface. In the new layout, the navigation will now be located in the top portion as a horizontal bar and the contents will occupy a majority of the space. This also means that with changes this expansive, our Monaco layout will be scrapped (as Sannse also explains that the new layout will be the default for Wikia).
With that, I would like everyone to discuss about this issue. I am handling multiple Wikis, and I'd like to know what are your thoughts regarding this issue.
